When you arrive in Sainte-Flavie via Route 132 or in Mont-Joli via highway 20, you can start your loop itinerary by either going north or south.
The north itinerary takes you along the shore of the colossal St. Lawrence River before sending you towards the tip of the peninsula where you can admire the wilderness scenery and the immensity of the gulf. The south itinerary will take you to a green setting, the Matapedia Valley, the salmon country, where you will be able to relax on the long inviting fine sand beaches of the Chaleur Bay.
All along this great tour, magnificent settings and touristic centres are everywhere: small villages hiding in coves, beaches, gardens, historic sites, art galleries and shops, very good restaurants and nice inns, nature’s curiosities, affable and welcoming people, sea excursions, the richness of the fauna and flora, etc.
Gaspésie offers a wide array of activities. Outdoor enthusiasts will be charmed by the many services available to them regarding their favorite activity:
Art enthusiasts will be pleased by the many art galleries and workshops to visit. They will also be able to wander in the many souvenir shops and to attend the different plays and shows. Food lovers, on the other hand, will be seduced by the many very good restaurants and the delicious regional products.
